Share one less address. Keep a little more peace of mind.

Claim a one-time offer
without giving up your main email

Need an email to claim a coupon or download a resource? If you only need a one-time verification code, a temporary address may work. If you’ll need order updates or account recovery, consider another option.

A temporary email can help protect your main address, but it won’t guarantee acceptance or cancel marketing consent.

Check before you share your address

The key question isn’t “Will it receive the email?” but “Will I need to receive anything after this?” Choose based on the longest-term need in these three scenarios.

Just this once

Only need one verification code?

A temporary inbox may work for a resource you can save right away or a one-time event sign-up, as long as you won’t need to buy, renew or recover the account later.

Before submitting, check: Can you save the resource right away, and does the coupon require signing in to the same account?

The transaction isn’t over yet

Need order or after-sales updates?

If you’re expecting shipping updates, a refund, an e-invoice or warranty information, don’t focus only on the offer. Important messages may arrive days or even weeks later.

Choose an address you can keep accessing, or a forwarding address you’ll keep active.

Might you need to recover your password?

Memberships, reward points, account balances and paid subscriptions all involve an ongoing relationship. Even if you’re only claiming a coupon now, you may need future login or security codes.

Choose an address you control long term, and check the account’s recovery options. Don’t rely on a temporary address to recover your account.

Get your code in four steps

These links open the actual inbox tool. This page does not generate addresses or submit sign-up information to merchants.

Get a working address before filling in the form. Don’t use the sample address or code shown on this page as real credentials.

  1. Get a temporary address

Open the inbox on the homepage, wait for the address to be generated, then check how much time remains. If the network fails, try again; don’t submit placeholder text like “Generating”.

  2. Paste it into the merchant’s sign-up form

Select “Copy address”, paste it and check the full address. Read the offer terms and untick optional marketing boxes if you prefer. Make sure you understand any terms you need to accept.

  3. Return to the inbox and read the code

Stay in the same browser session and wait for the inbox to refresh, then open the relevant message. Enter the code only on the official page you visited, and never forward a valid code to anyone else.

  4. Save your resource and think ahead

Download the resource promptly and note the offer terms and expiry date. If you’re about to place an order or join a membership, first change the email in your merchant account to one you can keep accessing, then verify the new address.

Same inbox, different reasons to keep a message

A verification code helps you complete a step now; a receipt may matter later. The examples below reuse the two sample emails from the homepage to compare their purposes. They don’t imply that these brands accept temporary email.

Codes expire; accounts may not be one-time

Completing verification doesn’t mean you’ll never need the inbox again. If you want to keep the account, consider future sign-ins, security alerts and password recovery too.

When does temporary email make sense? Consider the task, not the size of the offer

These one-time scenarios are often a better fit for a temporary inbox. Still, check the site’s rules, the sensitivity of the information and whether you’ll need follow-up emails.

Low-risk feature trial

Try features that require no payment and involve no important data, if you don’t plan to keep the account. Use a long-term address if it involves a bank card, auto-renewal or business data.

One-time event resource

Get a public report, template or event guide you can download right away. Course updates, ticket details and resources that keep changing mean you may need more than one email.

An offer with no ongoing account needs

The merchant allows temporary addresses, the offer can be claimed and used right away, and there’s no follow-up transaction. Check the terms first, so you don’t discover later that you need to keep signing in.

Leave enough time to get your code,
not to gamble on account recovery

A temporary email is for short-term tasks, not long-term account recovery. If your needs change, update the address in your merchant account while the original inbox can still receive messages.

New addresses last 3 hours by default
Use the countdown in the inbox tool. Don’t estimate from when you first opened the page, and don’t wait until the last minute to request a code.
Each extension adds 3 hours
Before the address expires, select “Extend by 3 hours” in the toolbar and check that the confirmation appears and the countdown updates. An extension isn’t permanent and can’t restore expired messages.
Changing your address retires the old one
Once the new address is created, the system will ask to delete the old inbox. After deletion, the old address stops working. If deletion isn’t confirmed, follow the tool’s message: the old inbox will still expire at the end of its original validity period.
Expired addresses can’t be recovered
The temporary address and its messages are cleared after expiry. Saving a coupon code, resource or transaction record is no substitute for an address that can still receive verification emails later.

Not sure whether you’ll use the account again? Choose an address you can keep accessing, then use unsubscribing and filters to manage unwanted marketing.

Common questions about promotional sign-ups

If a code doesn’t arrive, check the address and the platform’s rules. For orders or payments, make sure you can keep receiving emails.

What should I do if my coupon or verification code doesn’t arrive?

Check that the full address in the merchant’s form matches the inbox address, and make sure it hasn’t expired. The inbox updates automatically, but you can also refresh it manually. The sender may be queueing messages, rate-limiting requests or not accepting the address at all. Resend at the intervals allowed by the merchant; don’t click repeatedly. If you requested multiple codes, use the one the sender says is valid. Don’t change addresses while waiting, or messages sent to the old one won’t reach the new inbox.

The platform won’t accept temporary email. What can I do?

Follow the platform’s email requirements and use an address you control long term that it accepts, or skip the sign-up. A forwarding alias isn’t guaranteed to be accepted either. Repeatedly switching temporary addresses may not solve the restriction, and this tool can’t bypass merchant verification.

Do I need to keep refund updates if I’m only making one purchase?

Yes. Payment doesn’t mean the transaction is over: cancellations, refunds, shipping issues and support replies may arrive after a temporary address expires. Use a long-term address when placing the order. If you already used a temporary address, update and verify your email in the merchant’s official account as soon as possible, save your order number, and check whether the merchant lets you change the notification address.

Can I use temporary email to get a sign-up offer without receiving ads?

If you only need one code, a temporary address can keep your main email from going directly to the merchant. But it won’t cancel marketing terms you agreed to at sign-up or stop the merchant from contacting you through other channels you provided. Check the marketing boxes before submitting. For long-term accounts, you can use a separate alias and read about the differences between unsubscribing, filtering and changing your address.

Can I use multiple addresses to claim the new-customer offer more than once?

Don’t use this tool to evade offer eligibility, impersonate multiple users or exceed claim limits. A different address doesn’t make you eligible for another offer. Follow the merchant’s promotion rules and our Terms of Service. This page explains how to reduce unnecessary exposure of your email, not how to claim offers repeatedly.

Can I pause my forwarding alias as soon as I’ve claimed the offer?

First make sure you have no pending orders, refunds, subscriptions or account recovery needs. Pausing stops every message to that alias, including verification codes and support updates. If you want to keep the account, update the email with the merchant and verify the new address first. To distinguish where sign-ups came from, read how to track the source with a different address for each site; for unfamiliar email terms, see the email glossary.

One-time code or ongoing emails?

Only need this resource or offer? Go to the temporary inbox.
Need order, support or account verification emails too? Use an address you can keep accessing.

You can use the temporary inbox without signing up. Email forwarding requires sign-in with an email verification code. Neither type of address is guaranteed to be accepted by every platform.
